I pity some people when I hear about how many times they were denied admission through JAMB. It is not because they didn't pass, in fact, they did exceedingly awesome yet were not offered admission. Well, I wouldn't say you should give up, take your chance RIGHTLY.
Think of it, approximately 1.7 million students sit for JAMB yearly, and only about 700,000 (at most) gain admission yearly. if the 1million that didn’t secure admission reapply for jamb joining the 1.7million that will register that year, the figure increases to 2.7million and only 700,000 will be admitted leaving 2million to reapply or give up?
2 things are now clear - passing jamb doesn’t guarantee your admission and Jamb cannot admit everyone at once.
so would you rather stay and rewrite jamb till the day you get lucky to be admitted even when JAMB itself recommend that students enroll for JUPEB as an alternate to admission?
One thing I have come to realize is that not everyone that wrote jamb 3-6 times without admission failed their jamb - Most of them passed but they didn't get lucky. You can’t blame JAMB because they can't manage the population of students that apply yearly.
Jupeb registration is still on in our study centers in Abuja, Lagos, Kwara, rivers and edo state.
Don't waste your time. Join the lucky few to say bye to JAMB and admission Palava. With Jupeb, you can join your mates in school next year because your direct admission to 200level in any university is guaranteed.
Happy new month to you all and I wish you a prosperous and lovely experience throughout the month.

Delay can be dangerous!
It is now clear that passing JAMB or UTME doesn't guarantee admission. We can't totally blame it on the corrupt system but it is impossible to admit over 1.5 million students that apply yearly.
LET'S DO THE MATHEMATICS
About 1.5 million students applied this year, and only about 700,000 (if not less) will be admitted. Logic says, the remaining 800,000 that has not been admitted will re-apply for jamb, joining the 1.5 million (rough estimate) that will be registering next year.
1,500,000 + 800,000 = 2,300,000 (2.3 million)
This goes on and on year in, year out and the numbers keeps increasing thereby making admission more competitive and hard via jamb. This was the reason for which Advanced level programmes such as IJMB moderated by ABU Zaria and JUPEB moderated were established - to lessen the burden on jamb. You can confirm this in your JAMB Brochure.
What is JUPEB?
JUPEB is a National Examination body saddled with the responsibility of conducting examinations for students, who have undergone approved subject combinations and are seeking Direct Entry admissions into Nigerian and partnering foreign tertiary institutions.
The establishment of this examinations body was recently approved by the federal government of Nigeria to fill the gap created by the discontinuance of Advance Level Examinations.
Eligibility
To be eligible to take examinations leading to the award of JUPEB's Direct Entry Certificates, the candidate must have been exposed to an intensive scheme of academic work relevant to his/her proposed university course. Each candidate must register, sit for Examinations and satisfy the Board in three subjects and a General Studies course relevant to the proposed course in any of the universities.
The students upon completion of the programme will be issued certificates based on their level of performance which bear Letter Grades of A, B, C, D, E or F in each of the three subjects and General Studies Paper.
For admission into each university, each candidate, in addition to passing the prescribed JUPEB examinations for issuing the Direct Entry Certificates, must satisfy all other conditions (such as O'level result) as prescribed by his/her university of choice.
Entry Qualifications (Who can apply?)
The Basic Qualification for Enrolment is a minimum of five (5) Credit Passes at the Senior Secondary Certificate (SSCE) /General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level in subjects relevant to the desired university programme or course of study. Awaiting result can also apply.
The Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) can be regarded as 100level because the programme offers the 100level syllabus for a duration of 7 - 9months and as well offer admission to 200level in virtually every Nigerian university without UTME.
How do I enroll?
Although, universities (such as unilag, uniben, oau, unilorin, etc) has closed their registration for the Jupeb programme this year, the registration date has been extended till 15th of January 2020 for private accredited centers.
Considering the cost? Well, do the mathematics – you will spend (if not the same) more during 100level in standard universities
Don't wait for another JAMB, take this golden opportunity and smile to 200Level next year.
